Following the internet design, societies, organizations and movements have evolved from bureaucratic/centralized to both decentralized and distributed networks that have started to impact business, governments and our societies at large. Social Technologies is an interdisciplinary research field, which focuses on applying information, communication and emerging technologies to serve society goals. We define Social Technologies as all technologies used by people to serve society goals.
